This wonderful crack bread recipe is simple and fantastic. You can get creative as well as add more improvements like; roasted garlic, caramelized onions, cilantro, and butter compounds.

Get ready for the best snack ever!! I personally don’t really enjoy watching football or any other sport for that manner. I just find the constant yelling and overly tight pants are all unnecessary… but I do love football snacks. Enter crack bread. The worlds most addictive snack ever.

I would suggest you make more than one of these bad boys at a time cause they are ridiculous. Fair warning…you may secretly want to eat the whole thing yourself behind the couch.

Let’s get started!

You can get creative as well, we’ve been known to stuff them with tons of things. Roasted garlic, caramelized onions, cilantro, and herb butter compounds all crank it up to the next level.

Cutting the bread can be tricky. Grab your sharp knife (we like this Ergo Chef knife) and cut diagonally in a diamond pattern. Be careful not to not cut all the way through, that’s the secret to making the perfect crack bread snack.

Melt the butter and add the garlic and seasoning. Mix well.

Add chopped parsley and mix well.

Take a basting brush (we like this Good Cook’s one) to spread the butter on your crack bread creation. Be sure and pull the bread “sticks” apart in ensure the good stuff gets a chance to really soak in.

Then using the same technique of pulling the bread apart to stuff a bunch of cheese in the bread.

Yum! This is the point that I start to get a bit impatient and excited. I don’t know about you but for me there really is no better smell than bread baking in the oven.

Awwwwww, and here itis the best treat ever! This crack bread is so cheesy like nachos and yet not super crunchy but with an amazing crustiness.

  1. OMG this is such a great idea. When I first opened the recipe I thought I was going to have to make bread from scratch (which I am not excited about). I love this and can’t wait to try it! Pinned!
