Our first community dinner went off fabulously! We worked and sweated to get this place looking cleaner and tidier than it ever has and we were very pleased with our results. It’s not perfect but it sure was pretty. Oh and dinner was pretty rocking too.
Menu for the evening was as follows:
*Dani’s Famous Tomatillo Pork Burritos *Homemade Refried Beans *Rice *Fresh Garden Salad *Mexican Chocolate Pots De Creme *Peach Sangria
The Sangria was delightful…We used two jars of the Peach Pit and Peel Syrup I made last year, a box of red wine, fresca, and a mix of fresh and frozen fruit.
I couldn’t resist adding my girly DIY touch to the tables. Baby food jars, garden twine, beans, flowers and tealights make a pretty cute and cheap center piece. Although the beans in the water swelled up the next day ha!
We strung the party lights the opposite direction then we had them and it added much better light to the evening.
And our newest additions to the garden, the two beautiful tiki torches mom got us, worked wonderfully to help keep the bugs at bay until it really started getting dark. I have always loved the fancy metal tiki torches but they
