So excited to share with you our work in the master bedroom!
It’s been a few….ok quite a few weeks since we got started on this project. Living in the living room is always a strain on the mind more than anything but with all the garden projects going on we just couldn’t stop long enough to get this project wrapped up.
The next day I did the base priming with a roller on a long stick. Getting on my hands and knees anymore is becoming quite the chore so I left the edges for Kevin to hand brush later that weekend.
Finally it was time to tile! The transition around the corner out of the kitchen was by far the trickiest and took most of one evening for Kevin. After that though it was easy sailing! Nothing like peel and stick tile to make you feel super satisfied with how much flooring you can lay in an hour or two!
We knocked out the first third of the room while Noah napped and then he decided it was time for him to get in on the action.
We tried out coloring in his high chair for a while which lasted all of five minutes. You can tell how excited he was about this deal:
We laid as fast as we could but he was not having it.
Finally we released him and we spent the rest of the time distracting him as best we could with the trash can and paper backings. Mostly mommy chased him around while daddy finished flooring. And finish he did!
We moved our bed back in and our new little side tables.
Even the closet got taken care of!
Remember what it looked like before? So not missing seeing that every time I wake up in the morning!
So thrilled to be able to start getting settled back in before baby arrives!
There’s more happening in here like crazy as we prepare for little one’s arrival. Check back soon!
