Disclosure Policy

This blog is a personal blog written and edited by Dani and Kevin Meyer and guest posters. For questions about this blog, please contact us.

This blog accepts forms of cash advertising, and accepts products for review (though reviews are not guaranteed).

We frequently post affiliate links in our posts for products. These links do not increase the cost to you in anyway and provide an easy way for you to help support the costs of this site.

This blog abides by word of mouth marketing standards. We believe in honesty of relationship, opinion and identity. The compensation received may influence the advertising content, topics or posts made in this blog. That content, or post will be clearly identified as paid or sponsored content with the exception of banner and sidebar ads which are obviously shown as such.

The owner(s) of this blog are not compensated to provide positive opinions on products, services, websites and various other topics. The views and opinions expressed on this blog are purely the blog owners.

If we claim or appear to be experts on a certain topic or product or service area, we will only endorse products or services that we believe, based on our expertise, are worthy of such endorsement. Any product claim, statistic, quote or other representation about a product or service should be verified with the manufacturer or provider.

We do receive free product to review and when this occurs will always be identified.

Linkage

Our standard policy for TheAdventureBite.com is any site may repost the “top” photo (or two photos if the post is a before & after) and an intro to the article, with a link to the complete tutorial (step-by- step instructions and photos) or article on TheAdventureBite.com.

We have made special arrangements with established sites to share more information.  If you’d like to request an arrangement like this, please contact us.

Our 2 Cent’s

We only recommend products that we use and like.  We are Amazon associates and often link to products we  recommend on Amazon.com.  If you click on one of our links and make a purchase, we receive a small percentage of the sales price. This does not increase the price to you and is a super easy way to help us keep the blog running.

We are not paid for any of our product reviews or recommendations.  If we are paid for a product review or we receive a free product in exchange for reviewing it, we will make that clear in the post because we are honest like that, and in accordance with the new FTC guidelines for endorsements and testimonials for bloggers, which you can review by clicking here.

If you have a product you would be interested in having us review please contact us!

If you choose to sign up for our email newsletter, we promise to ONLY send you the newsletter, special goodies or select special announcements. We get spam too and we hate it just like you do.

Please….Don’t Sue Me

Please note that ALL do-it-yourself activities involve risk (especially if you are us :) )

None of our projects are tested for child or infant safety. Although photos may represent children using our products, these images are for example only and do not guarantee their safety.

None of our tutorials are guaranteed to work in all applications.  We HIGHLY recommend before altering any photo’s, websites, code, etc that you have in a minimum of two up-to-date backups of whatever you will be editing, preferably in two separate locations (disk and computer, etc). If you are working on your blog please download Filezilla or another FTP program and backup your site before starting any tutorials. If you break it, you’re gonna want to be able to fix it. Trust us on this one. Please.

Sew/Cook/Consume/Dance and Breathe at your own risk. Preferably not in that order. Please breathe first.

Although the editors (that’s us!) have made every effort to ensure accuracy, the reader (that’s you!) remains responsible for the selection and use of tools, supplies, and methods.

Obey local laws, follow manufacturers’ instructions, observe safety precautions, and use common sense…..erg let’s change that to good sense. Which is not at all common these days.

I rest my case.
