Chai Tea Recipe
A lovely spiced black tea with milk, perfect for a cool morning. Also excellent over ice.

- 2 cups water
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 inch piece ginger sliced
- 8 cardamom pods
- 8 black peppercorns
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 tsp honey
- 1 tb sugar
- 2 black tea bags
- 1/2-1 cup half and half
Bring water with spices, honey and sugar to a boil, whisk to incorporate spices and simmer for 5-10 minutes.
Add tea bags and remove from heat. Strain.
Add half and half or alternative dairy and warm.
If desired froth milk and top cups with frothed milk and a dusting of cinnamon.
