Disclosure Policy

This blog is a personal blog written and edited by Dani and Kevin Meyer and guest posters. For questions about this blog, please contact us.

Naturally, we have to make some money for our family to justify the number of hours we work on this blog. This blog accepts forms of cash advertising, sponsorship, paid insertions or other forms of compensation. For example, the “Recommends” tab on our menu bar is an affiliate link to Amazon featuring products we use or would like to use and mention in some of our posts. These links do not increase the cost to you in anyway and provide an easy way for you to help support the costs of this site.

Also, you will know when we do a paid post because it will be identified as a “sponsored” or paid post. All compensation agreed upon is for our time to create the content.

The compensation received will never influence the content, topics or posts made in this blog. We will be honest in our judgment and recommendations to our readers. You can be assured that if we don’t love the product – we simply will NOT promote it. We will only provide quality and relevant content for our readers. We turn down 90% of the sponsors who approach us because they do not align with our real food philosophy.

On some occasions we may be given products, cash, gift cards, services, or trips in exchange for advertising and social media announcements. We will always write our honest opinions, experiences, findings, beliefs, or experiences on those topics or products. The opinions expressed by us on this blog or in social media are purely our own. Any product claim, statistic, quote or other representation about a product or service should be verified with the manufacturer, provider or party in question.

This blog abides by word of mouth marketing standards. We believe in honesty of relationship, opinion and identity.

We allow third-‐party companies to serve ads and/or collect certain anonymous information when you visit our web site or mobile application (as do the bulk of the websites you visit on a daily basis). These companies may use non-‐personally identifiable information(e.g.,click stream information, browser type, time and date, subject of advertisements clicked or scrolled over) during your visits to this and other websites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services likely to be of greater interest to you.

These companies typically use a cookie or third party web beacon to collect this information. To learn more about this behavioral advertising practice or to opt-‐out of this type of advertising, you can visit http://www.networkadvertising.org/.

Copyright Policy

Our standard policy for TheAdventureBite.com is any site may repost the “top” photo (or two photos if the post is a before & after) and an intro to the article, with a link to the complete tutorial (step-by- step instructions and photos) or article on TheAdventureBite.com.

We have made special arrangements with established sites to share more information.  If you’d like to request an arrangement like this, please contact us.

Please….Don’t Sue Me

Please note that ALL do-it-yourself activities involve risk (especially if you are us!)

None of our projects are tested for child or infant safety. Although photos may represent children using our products, these images are for example only and do not guarantee their safety.

None of our tutorials are guaranteed to work in all applications.

Sew/Cook/Consume/Dance and Breathe at your own risk. Preferably not in that order. Please breathe first.

Although the editors (that’s us!) have made every effort to ensure accuracy, the reader (that’s you!) remains responsible for the selection and use of tools, supplies, and methods.

Obey local laws, follow manufacturers’ instructions, observe safety precautions, and use common sense…..erg let’s change that to good sense. Which is not at all common these days.

We rest our case.

Keeping your business…well….your business…

The Adventure Bite is committed to protecting your privacy. We will not disclose reader information to any outside companies without your prior consent and we will never sell your information.

If you choose to sign up for our email newsletter, we promise to ONLY send you the newsletter, special goodies or select special announcements. We get spam too and we hate it just like you do. You can sign up for our newsletter via the sidebar on this site.
