Dudes. If you haven’t tried yogurt salad dressing you are missing out on the best thing in the planet. Creamy, healthy and so so easy.

We have been eating tons of spinach lately and I have been trying to come up with the perfect healthy spinach salad dressing. I am so pleased with this one finally! I have a weakness for those creamy dressings from the store and my favorite is this super creamy poppyseed dressing. I’m very attentive to the ingredients in our food but this was one of those guilty pleasures that I just was avoiding looking at because I knew it would mean I’d need to change it.

But I looked at the label recently and (gulp) that dressing had 160 calories per 2 tablespoons and 14 grams of fat!!! Not to mention all the crap that was in there! No more procrastinating I set out to find a healthier homemade version stat.

It took some tweaking to get that perfect creamy flavor without being loaded with oil but this one…perfection! And this creamy delicious spinach salad dressing clocks in at under 50 calories and less than 3 grams of fat for 2 full tablespoons!!! Yes. Hello swimsuit season.

This is my favorite kind of recipe. 1 bowl, 5 ingredients and a whisk. There is no emulsifying, or breaking your arm. Just pour, whisk and eat. Let me show you:

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Nancy's whole milk yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon good quality extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons raw apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey preferably raw and local
  • 1 teaspoon poppy seeds
  • pinch of salt and pepper optional

Instructions

  • 1. Whisk all ingredients together. Serve and Enjoy!
