How to make a smoothie?
First thing is to add some liquid. Start by adding about 1/2 to 1 cup of liquid to the blender. Using low-fat milk, dairy-free milk, coconut water, plain water, or fruit juice.
Next, you add your fruit and/or your vegetables. Banana and avocado make for an awesome base in almost any smoothie, as they both have a creamy consistency. You can of course use berries, papaya, mango, pineapple, peaches and spinach to thicken your smoothie.
To get just the right texture to add nut butter, yogurt, chia seeds or oats for a smoother and even tastier smoothie. To boost the flavor and sweeten your smoothie try adding some dates or a little honey, maple syrup or agave syrup.
You can also add spices or herbs such as cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla extract and mint to make your smoothie extra special. If you really want to get supercharged then it’s time to add some superfoods! Like spirulina, wheat germ, flaxseed, protein powder, and goji berries.
Just blend together until smooth, pour into large drink container and enjoy! The breakfast in blender combinations is limitless!
