A champagne cocktail is the perfect way to add elegance to any party. Oh, the weather outside is frightful (well not really actually it’s been a crazy mild winter here haha). This recipe is fantastic for making a holiday champagne cocktail.

What mixes well with champagne?

A champagne cocktail can be made in a variety of flavors using fruit juices and/or fruit-flavored liqueurs. Such as Grand Marnier or Cointreau. Some champagne cocktail recipes may also call for additional alcohol, such as vodka.

For example, if you add vodka to this cranberry champagne cocktail recipe, you will have a champagne cocktail called a Poinsettia. We use vodka to make our favorite Blackberry Lavender Champagne Cocktail recipe.

What food can I serve with cranberry champagne cocktails?

Appetizers with fruit or cheese would be delicious options to serve with a cocktail like this one, as would chocolate appetizers. We recommend our Strawberry Chocolate Mousse Bites!

Ingredients

  • 1 oz cranberry juice cocktail
  • 1 lime wedge
  • 4 oz Champagne or non-alcoholic sparkling wine
  • Cranberries for garnish
  • Rosemary for garnish
  • Mint for garnish

Instructions

  • In a champagne flute add the cranberry juice cocktail and a squeeze of lime.
  • Fill the remainder of the glass with your favorite champagne or non-alcoholic sparkling wine and garnish with a few frozen or fresh cranberries, rosemary and/or mint. Enjoy!

Notes

Notes: straight cranberry juice tastes awful. Make sure to get a sweetened cranberry juice cocktail for this drink or it will be incredibly bitter.
