How to make A French .45?
You are able to make a pitcher of the first three ingredients ahead of time then do it. When it’s your cocktail time just grab your chilled mixture, and a bottle of champagne and you’re in business. Garnish with Lemon twists and everyone will love it.
How to change a French 75 to a French.45?
You are sure to love every sip of either one of these delicious cocktail choices but if you find yourself without cognac in the cupboard or find that you are not a huge gin fan, this French .45 cocktail recipe is always a winner.
As a bonus, a decent brandy tends to lower on the price scale than your average cognac. This makes the French .45 the much more desirable cocktail, at least in our humble opinion!
French.45 Cocktail Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 shot brandy
- ½ tbsp lemon juice
- ½ tbsp simple syrup
- 1 cup Champagne
- Garnish with Lemon twists
Instructions
- Add brandy, lemon juice and simple syrup to a shaker half full of ice.
- Shake well.
- Strain into a chilled champagne flute glass.
- Top slowly with Champagne and garnish with a lemon twist. Enjoy!
