Nothing could be finer than a warm cup of this campfire red wine hot chocolate! Next to a warm campfire surrounded by friends and family enjoying a warm cup of this delightful red wine hot chocolate is my favorite way to spend the winter months.

The warm hot chocolate flavor brings all those childhood memories flooding back in of us kids coming in from the cold to a hot steamy cup of chocolate deliciousness. The mini marshmallows have always been my favorite treat, I love how they hide in the warm hot chocolate and start to get coated with chocolate goodness. Try roasting the marshmallows before added them to this red wine hot chocolate for a little extra campfire flavor, yum!

Adding the red wine to the hot chocolate makes this recipe so rich and delicious, it is hands down the best adult beverage one could have when camping. Here’s a recipe for all those wine and chocolate lovers out there.
