What better valentine’s day dessert could you ask for then pie? These heart shaped berry hand pies are the perfect heart shaped desserts!

To say that my husband is pie obsessed would be the understatement of the century. He loves ice cream and cookies for sure but if you want to make it into his heart….pie is where it is at. Specifically, his momma’s Strawberry Rhubarb pie comes to mind.

I surprised him with a strawberry rhubarb pie for Valentine’s Day the year we were dating (which is super hard because rhubarb is not really quite in season then) and let’s just say…there was a ring on my finger two short months later.

But two babies and a busy life later…pie is kind of reserved for special occasions. But now with these little strawberry hand pies, we can get all that pie flavor packed into a tiny portable package! These are perfect for the kids too since they are easy to hold.

Use a store bought pie crust if you are in a pinch or (my preference!) whiz up a quick batch of my easy flaky pie crust.
