These healthy chocolate crepes are made with whole wheat flour (spelt flour) and honey. They are kid approved and perfect for special occasions!

We absolutely love crepes and I am always a huge fan of anything that can be made in the blender! Add in chocolate to the equation and I knew we had a sure fire winner.

I was so excited to try out Blendtec’s Blender and Wild Side Jar and I was not disappointed. We have been blending up smoothies every morning, soups, my morning coffee drinks and now these awesome crepes!

Start with some cocoa powder.

Add in four eggs.

1 cup of milk.

1/2 cup of flour.
We love spelt flour but all purpose works too!

Honey and a pinch of salt rounds it out.

Give it a whirl for about 20 seconds and you are ready to cook!

We paired our healthy chocolate crepes with some lightly honey sweetened Greek yogurt, strawberries and the lightest dusting of powdered sugar for the perfect special treat!

Campfire Baked Potato Bar

Smoky, foil-wrapped campfire potatoes topped with all your favorite fixings. Comfort food gold—no pot required.

Ingredients

  • 4 medium russet potatoes
  • 4 tbsp salted butter
  • Sea salt & black pepper
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • Toppings:
  • Sour cream
  • Shredded cheese
  • Cooked bacon
  • Red onion
  • Green onion

Instructions

  • Wash and dry potatoes. Rub with butter and season generously.
  • Cut in half and optionally stuff with onion/garlic.
  • Wrap in foil and cook in burned-down coals.
  • Rotate every 10 mins for 30–60 mins.
  • Let rest 5–10 mins. Unwrap and load with toppings.

Notes

Want to win camping dinner and next-morning breakfast? Bake extra potatoes and toss the leftovers in your cooler. In the morning, cube them up, crisp them in a skillet, and boom—campfire hash. Also: don’t skip the butter and salt rub pre-cook. It’s what gives that skin its salty, crispy, can’t-stop-eating-it vibe. And if you’re cooking for a crowd, pre-wrap and label the foil with names or topping combos using a Sharpie. No more “wait, who put jalapeños on mine?!” chaos.

  3. the crepes look delicious, I am. always looking for something new and healthy to try on my husband .These would be great for breakfast or for a tasty dessert. I have never made crepes,but your easy to read recipe is beckoning for me to give it a try. Wish me luck!
